Uniqueness of our approach:
foster Mind-set thinking in the team.
Participants
are shown how to be an owner of their
own business; what’s involved with their
customers, suppliers and staff. Thinking
like an owner allows you to interface
and understand your boss/teacher and constantly
improving your skills. A connection
is made between ownership and creating a
learning organization.
Cultural
Engineering mindset thinking (CEM):
Activities around the
process that cover all the details to
make it successful. Its assuring that
all the team are aware of items, plans
are created, deliverables are met,
problems solved, and the customer is
informed. An analytical approach is
taken and leadership / management is exercised.
Brain Plasticity… The
brain is like a muscle … Use it or lose
it.
-
Coach mindset:...Each
team member becomes a coach to
another in learning the life skills
necessary to be successful in
business and society. Team members
are taught what it is to be a coach.
Team
mindset:...
To b successful you
need to work and support each other.
Brand mindset:... Who are you
and how do you share it with others.

Peer Learning
We begin with on-line web based learning documents
beginning at http://projectacademy.org/trainer/index.html . It
is our goal that the students pair off with a learning buddy and
take ownership of learning the process laid out before them. By
reading, discussing, questioning, note taking, networking with
others and practice the students build and retain their newly
gained knowledge.

Peer Learning is a learning technique that promotes
collaboration and teamwork to gain knowledge.
Indeed, it is
the learners who, from a concept and
different information, must
answer a problem without the
intervention of a teacher. Each
learner is both a
recipient and donor of knowledge.
How are you going to incorporate these learning items
(mindsets) & thinking skills into your life?
|
Owning your learning:
The peer learning process is to follow the on-line project-based
learning (PBL) process tutorial (about you-team
creation-problem-solving-reporting) with your learning buddy,
reading the articles and answering the questions.
Your goal is to understand the articles and write down in your
notebook, the main points of these articles with your learning
buddy (Mentor).
The facilitator is there to answer questions of understanding
related to the text and process.
How
do we assess their gained knowledge? Is it Presentation,
Documents, Creating a project? Rubric?
