Concept:
The Business Skills program is a comprehensive behavior change approach that concentrates on the development of the skills needed for life such as communication, decision–making, thinking, managing emotions, assertiveness, self–esteem building, resisting peer pressure, and relationship skills using business skills as the foundation. Mike Hammer's book "The Agenda" will used as the foundation of the business skills course.
Approach:
The approach is completely interactive, using role plays, games, puzzles, group discussions, and a variety of other innovative teaching techniques to keep the participant wholly involved in the sessions.
The course will have an introduction to
thinking skills and life skill elements. Class learning will center around proposing a solution to one of the "World Issues". The students will work as a team.
Students will focus on one of the world projects and develop a plan to solve the problem. It will contain the following sections:
